What Types of Tree Survey Are Available in Thame?
Three survey types are available in Thame: Tree Condition Reports for individual tree health, Mortgage Tree Reports for lender requirements, and BS5837 surveys for planning applications.
Tree Condition Reports (TCR)
A Tree Condition Report assesses the health, structure and safety of an individual tree or small group. Insurers, homeowners and property managers request one to identify decay, disease or storm damage risk.
Mortgage Tree Reports (MTR)
A Mortgage Tree Report becomes required when a lender's valuation surveyor flags trees near the property during a house purchase or remortgage. The report satisfies the tree assessment requirements set by major UK mortgage lenders.
BS5837 Tree Surveys
A BS5837 survey categorises every tree on site into grades A, B, C or U, sets root protection areas and produces a tree constraints plan. South Oxfordshire Council requires this survey for planning applications affecting trees.
